Spider-Man: Homecoming is still to be released in cinemas around the world but its sequel is already picking up speed as rumours of another major Marvel character joining the cast start to circulate around the web.
Marvel Godfather Robert Downey Jr is throwing his star-power behind the new reboot by starring alongside Tom Holland’s Spider-Man – although it now looks like Iron Man will only appear in the one movie, leaving a slot open for another Avenger perhaps.
Just who that character will be is anyone’s guess but considering Sony and Marvel’s new partnership regarding the Spider-Man movie franchise, they’ll both want to throw as much star-power at the recently announced trilogy as possible.
Captain America, Hulk, Thor or Black Widow could be just a few of the potential heroes that could appear in the Spider-Man sequel – personally though, my money is Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury or Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye.
Spider-Man: Homecoming, the first collaboration between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, will see Tom Holland once again don the Spidey suit in his first solo film as he takes on The Vulture (played by Michael Keaton). Catch it in cinemas next month.
