Massive news for all 007 fans out there as multiple reports are claiming Daniel Craig is close to sealing another return as the world’s most famous secret agent in Bond 25.
Nothing is confirmed… that much must be stressed before you start to get your hopes up, but it appears that the news might be from inside the actors inner circle.
Daniel Craig turned heads last year by publicly stating he’d rather “stick pins in his eyes” then return as Bond after the release of Spectre, which disappointed both fans and critics alike.
Of course the news caused massive waves around Hollywood as Bond producers stepped into overdrive to try and secure a replacement in the event that Craig’s words proved concrete.
Despite a list of high profile British names being touted for the coveted role, including Henry Cavill, Idris Elba, Tom Hardy and Tom Hiddleston, producers were still keen to keep the franchises most successful star in the title role, reportedly offering Craig $150 million to put pen to paper on a new contract.
However it all seemed futile, and the search began for our new Bond, with Avengers star Tom Hiddleston emerging as the favourite for the keys to the Aston.
Well if the rumours are to be believed, Tom’s out and Daniel’s back in, and you can imagine there’s a massive sign on bonus in it for the mega-star who’s helped re-shape the franchise into a powerhouse that can compete with Hollywood’s elite.
Stay tuned for more.
