Daisy Ridley Remains Quiet On Parentage In Star Wars: Episode 8

It’s just over a year until Star Wars: Episode 8 takes over every cinema around the world, and despite a constant bombardment of questions, franchise star Daisy Ridley remains silent over her character origins – especially those relating to her parents.

It’s perhaps the most burning question Star Wars fans want answered, and the thought of waiting another year to find out is promoting every news source to find ingenious new ways of tricking the cast into breaking their silence regarding the script.

Daisy Ridley, who’s been propelled into the Hollywood limelight after landing the role of the mysterious Jedi Rey, has perhaps experienced the biggest onslaught of questions during interviews, yet has managed to stay tight-lipped on all thing’s Star Wars based.

So unfortunately no new info on Rey’s connection with Luke Skywalker, but what do we know so far?

For starters Star Wars 8 will focus more on the primary characters… Rey, Kylo Ren, Finn… even Luke and Leia who’ve confirmed some time ago that they’ll have substantial parts in the next release.

Episode 8 will carry immediately on from The Force Awakens – so there’ll be no time jumping, just a continuing saga from the events that Episode 7 introduced, including the famous death of Han Solo at the hands of his evil son, Kylo Ren. Carrie Fisher recently confirmed that there will be a touching funeral scene for Harrison Ford’s beloved character.

Expect character flashbacks that will piece together the origin stories of Rey, Finn and Kylo Ren – hopefully this will finally unlock the answers to Rey’s illusive parents. Will she be related to Obi-Wan Kenobi? Or perhaps Luke Skywalker? All will apparently be revealed when Star Wars: Episode 8 hits cinemas worldwide from December 2017.
