With the Justice League having wrapped production recently, it’s been confirmed by Joe Manganiello that Ben Affleck’s solo Batman movie will start filming sometime during early spring next year.
The Magic Mike star, who will portray notorious mercenary Deathstroke in The Batman, confirmed the news recently during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
It’s not known if Manganiello was supposed to spill the beans on the highly anticipated Warner Bros production, but at least now we know that the project is moving along nicely as Ben Affleck gets ready to take on his most ambitious project yet… by writing, directing and starring in the rebooted blockbuster franchise.
Joe Manganiello’s inclusion as Deathstroke surprised a lot of fans when Ben Affleck unexpectedly released some behind-the-scenes footage of the armoured villain during production of Zack Snyder’s upcoming Justice League movie.
Though it’s not been confirmed by anyone close to the project, it’s thought that Deathstroke will make a brief cameo in Justice league next year ahead of his full debut in The Batman sometime in 2018 – Warner Bros Studios currently has an unnamed DC project scheduled for release on 5 October 2018.
