Jared Leto is a man in demand, so you can imagine he chooses his roles very carefully – perhaps that’s why the Oscar-winner has signed on for a role opposite Ryan Gosling in Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner sequel.
The Suicide Squad star will join the sci-fi project alongside other high profile stars including Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling and Robin Wright who’ve already begun filming.
Nothing is known about Leto’s role in the in the still untitled Blad Runner sequel, though that’s hardly surprising considering all details regarding the plot are still under lock and key with director Denis Villeneuve, who takes over the helm from Ridley Scott. We do however know that the story will be a continuation of the original after Harrison Ford signed on to reprise his famous role from the original 1982 cult classic.
Considering Jared Leto‘s record of picking ‘out there’ roles, it’s likely his role will be one of the most intriguing when the sequel hits cinemas on 6 October 2017.
