When it comes to the highly anticipated X-Men spinoff, Gambit, no-one seems to know whats going on or when the project will finally begin it’s long overdue production.
With constant script rewrites and never ending rumours that the film’s star Channing Tatum is leaving the role, production has continually found itself subject to delays – but things may finally be moving in the right direction after it was recently announced that the script had been completed to Twentieth Century Fox‘s liking.
The film’s producer, Simon Kinberg, who’s faced an unrelenting bombardment of questions from press over the last couple of years, was finally able to announce the scripts completion and an estimated production date of spring 2017.
It’s great news for eager fans, especially considering Channing Tatum recently confirmed that he was still comitted to the project despite recent reports that he was also eyeing a possible role in DC Comics upcoming Shazam film, also starring Tatum’s G.I. Joe co-star Dwayne Johnson.
No release date has been announced yet but it’s likely that Gambit will hit cinemas sometime during summer 2018.
