Marvel is really beefing up it’s cast for Thor: Ragnarok as it continues to dominate the worldwide box office – the studio announced yesterday that Jeff Goldblum and Karl Urban have been added to the cast that already includes Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston and Cate Blanchett.
With production set to begin soon on the third installment in the franchise, Marvel have already confirmed their characters – Goldblum, who can be seen in the upcoming Independence Day sequel, will take on the role of Grandmaster, with Karl Urban set to join Cate Blanchett’s villainous side.
Marvel has big plans for Thor: Ragnarok, which is part of the studios ‘stage four’ plan for it’s Cinematic Universe, with the films storyline set to be the most expansive yet and one that will lead directly into Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1.
Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk character, who’s been MIA since Avengers: Age of Ultron, is already confirmed for a major part in second Thor sequel that will see the famous ‘God of Thunder’ battle some of his biggest foes on planets not yet seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Thor: Ragnarok is due to hit cinemas worldwide from 27 October 2017.
