Perhaps not so surprising considering the film is not only nominated for six Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Leading Actor for its star Bradley Cooper but also tells the story of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, who during his prestigious years of service, recorded over 150 confirmed enemy kills – a record in itself.

The Warner Bros produced film looks set to earn more than $80 million in its first weekend and could easily generate hundred of millions more worldwide during its release – something that sure to be very good news for Bradley Cooper, who its reported gained an incredible 40-plus pounds of muscle for the role.

Bradley Cooper is again nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for his performance in American Sniper (2014).
