Every now and then an unknown gem of cinematic craftsmanship will surface to little or no avail, a capture our hearts and imaginations in a way that is completely unexpected – and The Words is just that.
Despite it’s stellar cast of some of Hollywood‘s finest, including Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Irons, Zoe Saldana, and Dennis Quaid, to name just a few, The Words had me engrossed from the get-go, due to its incredibly unique and rich story that hooks you instantly.
The film follows Rory Jansen (Cooper), a struggling young writer, who is so terrified of failing as a writer, that when a mysterious book lands in his possession, he struggles with a moral dilemma that will send his life in an unexpected direction.
With fame thrust upon him almost overnight – the high soon comes crashing down when the true author emerges and throws every aspect of Rory’s life into turmoil, as he finally learns of the story behind the story.
The Words is a stunning, heart-warming journey of moral choices, and the fear and desperation that can so often overwhelm us in life! A must see!
